Name the owner of each decision

List who can approve catalog data, customer-facing copy, shipping rules, payment settings and launch timing. Put open decisions in one place. A technically complete store can still be unready if nobody has confirmed how the business will handle an exception.

Walk through the catalog as a customer

Choose examples that exercise the difficult parts of the catalog, not only the simplest product. Keep the findings attached to the exact item or page so the team can reproduce them.

  • Check a representative range of products, variants, prices and availability.
  • Follow menus, collections and search from common customer starting points.
  • Review product images and important purchase information on a phone.
  • Identify discontinued or changed URLs and map relevant replacements.

Test an order through the operation

Shopify’s official launch checklist includes testing the store before opening it. Extend that review to your own fulfillment process: choose an agreed test method, check the customer journey, then follow the order into the systems and staff workflows that receive it.

  • Confirm how inventory changes reach the store and how errors are surfaced.
  • Check that order details arrive where the team expects them.
  • Review the agreed cancellation, refund and fulfillment scenarios.
  • Record who resolves a failed integration and how the next person is notified.

Prepare the handoff

Give the operating team the access, procedures and escalation contacts it needs. Keep permissions tied to responsibilities and avoid shared personal logins. Decide which reports the team will use to review the first days after launch.

DigitalNetHosting scopes Shopify builds, catalog and operational integrations, launch preparation, and ongoing management. The exact tests, responsibilities and support period should be agreed for your store. A completed checklist supports a launch decision; it does not guarantee sales or remove every operational risk.
