Let's talk about images and websites. Pictures are great, when properly used to enhance the look of the site. If you are selling, it will greatly improve your conversion rate turning your visitors to customers. Now, why host your pictures online? The most common reason to put your pictures online would be to share them with others. Family members can have easy access to the reunion pictures for instance. In this case you may want to have a picture album online. In my experience, website picture hosting, is the other common reason to have your pictures hosted online. Either way it's a good idea to have the pictures you are going to share or use on your website hosted in a folder online.
While you are finding a host for you images keep in mind the same criteria as you would if looking for host for a website. You are going to need a good amount of space available to you for storage of your pictures. In today's world there are numerous Internet Service Providers or ISP's out there so just take the time to go over what they offer. You want a host that has little down time or none and a reputation for 24/7 support. The idea behind space is to allow you to upload and store a better quality image. You do want a good quality image but do not go crazy; you do not need huge pictures for either a website or to share in an album. I find that jpg files about 250 pixels x 250 work very well.
I thought I would make a couple of suggestions for you to look into possible online hosts but make sure you look at them before you buy. I like Ipower.com. This ISP is a multipurpose hosting site. It has great resources for you to use and a tremendous amount of room per account and great service either email or live chat and phone support. This is the service that I use myself.
I have another hosting site that I just read about called Flick Cabin. This site, as any host site, will allow you to create a path to your eBay auctions, Websites, Picture Albums, and Blogs etc. Almost the advantage to this site is that it is anonymous. If you do not want anyone to know who posted the picture I guess this may be the host for you. It also has no maximum file size or bandwidth.
That's all folks. Take a good look around the web and find a good service. The two I suggested are not even the tip of the iceberg just make sure you get the most for your money. Some picture hosting sites are free but if you are looking for an all purpose ISP stay away from the free providers.
